I have blogged before about loosing weight. A friend and I were chatting about it the other day and she said something that made me think, and I think she is right!! She said that not only should you write down your goals, but why you are wanting to achieve them and how you are going to go about achieving them! The more I thought about this the more it made sense to me! So here is my list of weight loss goals!
1-I want to get healthy. I want to be around for my kids and I want to show them how to eat healthy. I can't get them to eat things that I don't eat!
2-I want to get in shape. I don't want to be out of breath when we are running around in the yard!
3-I want to feel better about myself in my clothes! It sucks when your pants are too big in one area and too small in the other! I want to put on something and know I look and feel good in it!
4-I want to run a marathon! Ok, so maybe not a full one for a while, but start with a 5K and then a half marathon and then we'll see!
Now, how am I going to do this?! Well, we are members of the Y, so I need to make myself go more often!
1-I am going to work out at least 3 days a week.
2-I am going to eat a vegetable (other than corn!) at dinner every night.
3-I am going to walk to the library on Friday mornings. This is our library day and it is just under a mile there, so we are going to start walking there and back!
4-I am going to weigh in on Mondays!
So each week on Mondays I am going to blog about my week, how I did, what was good, what was not so good, and what to do for the next week!
